Goal Setting

Work as though you would live forever, and live as though you would die today. --Og Mandino

Well, I wonder how many of us can actually do that. (Hmm, I guess a certain very dedicated teacher has come very close to that...)
------------------
With the coming Common Tests, I believe that everyone has their own targets in mind.

I don't usually set goals for school-based examinations, unless it's something major like national or international examinations (well, except for this time, I guess).

Well, some tips for goal setting:
(as you can see, I'm trying to psycho myself... and I seriously hope that it'll work!)
1) Make sure the goal you are working for is something you really want, not just something that sounds good.
2) A goal can not contradict any of your other goals.
3) Develop goals in the 5 areas of life: Family and Home, Spiritually, Physically, Socially and Studies. Be balanced. :)
4) Write your goal in the positive instead of the negative.
5) Write your goal out in complete detail.
6) By all means, make sure your goal is high enough.
7) Write down your goals and review it everyday.

If you haven't already noticed, that was an attempt to talk to myself.

I think I'm one helpless pathetic soul. :(

I can't motivate myself. I end up studying Physics today in the forced attempt to read my notes and at least understand a teeny weeny bit of it to start doing my case study. And now I haven't even started a single part of my case study and I'm rather prepared to stone and appreciate the scenery outside the classroom tomorrow.

I really can't believe that my school is adopting such a primary school system - stand outside the classroom if you don't complete your tutorials. OMG. I seriously think that this system absolutely has no impact on those who have totally no interest in a particular subject at all (and this includes me, like duh.) Actually isn't it better for these people, I mean, we would get another free period (and obviously do not need to attend a lesson that we have zero passion for) and could do some other stuffs (eg slow down in life for once and enjoy the nature).

Or in my case, some quiet moment to really sit down and think about what questions the examiners can shoot at me during the coming oral defence.

And I'm being too obliging (or too kind) to people at home at the expense of my own time.

And my goal is to...

pass Econs.

Just this once. Please. (T_T)

[P.S. Sze Min I don't understand how you could love Econs so much.]

The difference between a goal and a dream...
is the written word.
